Accredited Practising Dietitian · APD 059330
Meet Nikki, your dietitian for practical, real life nutrition.
Nikki holds a Master of Dietetic Studies from the University of Queensland. Her clinical placements spanned paediatric inpatient care, liver transplant, ICU, radiation oncology and community outpatient dietetics, at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Queensland Children’s Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Institute of Urban Indigenous Health.
She’s completed the Dietitians Australia Menopause Nutrition Foundations for Dietitians course, and as a parent of a neurodivergent child, brings direct lived experience navigating feeding difficulties and building practical, low pressure strategies around food.
Nikki practises the way she would want to be treated: evidence based, judgment free, and built around the life you actually have rather than the one a meal plan assumes. She keeps her practice current through ongoing professional development with Dietitians Australia, and works alongside your GP or specialist wherever that helps. These are the areas she works with most.
Appointments available in Brisbane and via telehealth.
Nutrition support alongside medically supervised weight management, working with your treating doctor rather than around them. The focus is on eating enough, eating well, and protecting muscle, bone and energy while your weight or appetite is changing. Practical strategies for appetite changes, meal timing and getting adequate protein and fibre in when you are eating less than you used to.
A weight inclusive approach that starts with how you actually eat, not a calorie target handed to you on day one. Nikki looks at your routine, your budget and what you genuinely enjoy cooking, then works on the changes most likely to stick. Body composition, energy and how you feel day to day matter as much as anything on a scale.
Nutrition through perimenopause and menopause, including the shifts in appetite, energy, sleep and body composition many women notice but are rarely given practical help with. Nikki has completed the Dietitians Australia Menopause Nutrition Foundations for Dietitians course. Support also covers general women's health nutrition across different life stages.
Eating with a long term condition, including support around cardiovascular health and other conditions where diet plays a part in day to day management. Nikki's clinical placements spanned hospital and community settings, so the advice is grounded in real clinical practice and coordinated with your GP or specialist where that helps.
Support for families navigating fussy eating, limited diets, feeding difficulties and growth concerns. Sessions are calm and practical rather than a list of foods your child is supposed to eat. Nikki completed paediatric inpatient placements at Queensland Children's Hospital and brings that experience to family focused, low pressure strategies.
Eating support that works with how a neurodivergent brain and body actually operate, including sensory preferences, safe foods, interoception and routine. Nikki is a parent of a neurodivergent child, so this is familiar territory rather than a textbook topic. The aim is nutrition that fits the person in front of her, not the other way around.
