The terms you agree to when you book an appointment or use this website.
Last updated 29 July 2026
These terms apply to services provided by Nudge Nutrition, a dietetics practice operated by Nicola (Nikki) Edwards-Kalaf, Accredited Practising Dietitian, APD 059330, ABN 48 177 147 299, based in Brisbane, Queensland.
By booking an appointment or using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not book.
Nudge Nutrition provides individual dietetic consultations, in person in Brisbane and by telehealth across Australia. Sessions may include nutrition assessment, an eating plan, education, and written correspondence with your GP or specialist where that is useful.
Nikki is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and practises within her professional scope and the standards of Dietitians Australia. She does not diagnose or treat medical conditions, prescribe medication, or replace advice from your doctor.
Current fees are shown on the Work with me page. Fees are payable at the time of your appointment unless something else has been agreed in writing.
Prices may change. The fee that applies is the one published at the time you book.
Appointment times are held for you, and a late cancellation usually means the time cannot be offered to someone else. If you cannot attend, please give as much notice as you can so the appointment can be reallocated.
Nikki asks for at least 48 hours notice to change or cancel an appointment, so the time can be reallocated. If less notice is given, a cancellation fee of 50% of the appointment fee applies. You will be asked to confirm this when you book, and it also appears in your booking confirmation. If Nikki needs to cancel or reschedule, you will be offered the next available time or a full refund of anything already paid.
Some appointments attract a Medicare, Department of Veterans’ Affairs or private health fund rebate. Eligibility is determined by Medicare, the DVA or your health fund, not by Nudge Nutrition.
Under a GP chronic condition management plan, Medicare allows a maximum of five allied health services per calendar year, shared across all allied health providers you see. An eating disorder plan allows up to twenty dietetic sessions in a twelve month period. You are responsible for knowing how many sessions you have already used.
A valid referral must be in place before the service for a rebate to apply. Rebate amounts are set by the relevant scheme and can change. See the rebates page for the current figures and the date they were checked.
Referrals are written and issued by your doctor. Nudge Nutrition cannot write, complete or part complete a referral for a doctor to sign, and cannot decide what services you are referred for.
If you send a referral through this website, please make sure the copy is clear and legible. Nikki will confirm receipt. Referrals are retained for as long as required under her professional and legal obligations, including at least 24 months from the date of a service claimed through Medicare.
Telehealth appointments are delivered over a secure video service. You will need a reliable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone, and a private space where you are comfortable talking.
Telehealth is not appropriate for every situation. If Nikki believes an in person appointment or a referral elsewhere would serve you better, she will say so.
Meal plans, resources and written materials prepared for you are for your personal use. They are individual clinical advice, prepared for your circumstances, and should not be shared, resold or used by anyone else.
Website content, including articles, recipes and the Adapt8 method and materials, remains the property of Nudge Nutrition. You are welcome to read, print and share links. You may not republish it as your own.
Articles, recipes and other material on this website are general information. They are not individual dietetic advice, they do not take your circumstances into account, and they are no substitute for a consultation.
We take care to keep the information here accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is free of error or suitable for your situation. If something here conflicts with advice from your treating practitioner, follow your practitioner.
Nothing in these terms excludes any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law, including the consumer guarantees. Those rights cannot be contracted out of.
To the extent the law allows, Nudge Nutrition’s liability is limited to resupplying the service or refunding what you paid for it.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of your care, please raise it directly through the contact page. Most things are resolved quickly by talking about them.
How your personal and health information is collected, used and protected is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
These terms may be updated. The version that applies to your appointment is the one published when you booked. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date at the top.
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
Ask before you book, not after. Nikki would rather answer a question than have you wondering.
